Note:

NOTE: Prompt 'Older Posts' on the right side at the end of this page will in fact take you to the most recent posts, while 'Newer Posts' will take you to the older posts. I am looking for a fix to the source code to resolve this issue.

Hey, while I have your attention: Have a look at my other new site where I invite you, my readers, to share all your special stories. Have a look here: URMEMOIR.wordpress.COM

We left Crater Lake and decided to head back to the coast through Roseburg on to Coos Bay and finally to Charleston.

Charleston is a small fishing village in Oregon, unspoilt and a great place to relax. No frills but plenty of fresh fish.
Charleston is a small fishing village. We decided we would spend a couple of  nights in the area. Just to catch up on our notes and blogs. We planned to see the local botanic gardens and the stunning coastline. We also hoped to just enjoy the very simple wonders of nature. I captured some of these images but to be honest I did not do justice to the beauty of this quiet, unspoilt, location.

A Turkey Vulture, I think he spotted me, time to move on ..........

It was here that we met John and Donna Kaiser. They own the Charleytown Marketplace. This is something you have to see if you ever visit Charlestown. They have an amazing collection of creations from over 140 local artists, wood carvers, potters etc.  Here are just a couple of images from their place.
