Sept 16 2012  Crater Lake - Oregon

We left Grants Pass and set off for Crater Lake. We managed to get the last room available at  Crater Lake Lodge had some lunch and set off in the car to find the location for our first , short, hike in the mountains.

Driving Highway 1 in California was easy compared to this white knuckle drive. Sheer drops for hundreds of feet with not too much room to spare on the road. Maybe if I was in my own car driving on the side I have always been used to it might not have felt so terrifying?

We made the short hike to see this Waterfall



We had our first hike today. We walked to this waterfall just off Pinnacles Road, scary drive.

This Crater Lake tonight just as the sun starts to set.
